  • Age, genetics, and lifestyle can affect the elasticity of your skin and overall appearance. Over time, fine lines and wrinkles may develop into deeper folds and creases in the skin. With Lumiere MD’s specially trained BOTOX® Cosmetic team, we can help reduce signs of aging and the restore your appearance for a reimagined and more youthful look.

    What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?

The prescription medication known as BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable solution used to temporarily reduce the appearance of lines that have formed between the eyebrows from frowning and crow’s feet lines. For frown lines, five injections are administered into specific muscles of your forehead. To treat crow’s feet, three injections are administered into muscles that are on the sides of each eye - totaling six injections. These injections will temporarily reduce your muscle activity in the treated areas.

How Do I Know if I am a Good Candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections?
Good BOTOX® Cosmetic injection candidates are healthy adults who do not have a history of neuromuscular disease or other issues near the targeted areas. Let your doctor know what allergies as you may have a negative reaction to some of the ingredients in the BOTOX® Cosmetic injection.

    What is the Recovery Time?

Since BOTOX® Cosmetic injections use a fine needle and do not require incisions, there is very minimal recovery time. You may be able to return to your normal everyday activities right after the procedure. Your doctor may provide you with specific instruction for your recovery.

When Will I See the Results?

While reaction times do vary, typically you may notice results between 24 and 48 hours after the injections.

    How Long Does it Last?

Depending on a variety of factors, your results may last up to four months. Your doctor may be able to provide more insight on the lasting effects of the application you receive of BOTOX® Cosmetic.
